John J. McLaughlin died at All Saints Memorial Hospital in Lowell on August 17th at the age of 83. He was born in Tewksbury, raised in Randolph, lived in Somerville most of his life and the past few years in Billerica. John worked as a custodian at the Cambridge Savings Bank in Cambridge for many years. He was a WWII Army Veteran, a life member of the American Legion Post #19 in Somerville and the VFW SGT Harold O'Young Post # 2394 in Melrose. John was the husband of the late Pauline (O'Brien) McLaughlin. Father of Arthur L. McLaughlin of Melrose, Ellen R. McLaughlin of Billerica and Maureen Josephson of Leominster. Also survived by 4 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St. Melrose on Thursday August 21st at 8AM. Funeral mass in St. Mary's Church, Herbert St. Melrose, at 9AM. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours Wed. 4-8PM. Burial in Mt. Auburn Cemetery in Cambridge. WWII Army Veteran.
