John J. Moulds, Jr. of Melrose died on Wednesday, November 10, 2010 at the Courtyard Nursing Home in Medford. He was 69 years of age. Born on March 12, 1941 in Dorchester, a son to the late John J. Sr. & Ruth (Costello) Moulds, he was raised in Dorchester and a 1958 graduate of Christopher Columbus High School where he played hockey & was an All Catholic football player. He continued his football at Bridgton Academy & Boston University. Mr. Moulds worked as a manager with New England Telephone (Verizon) for 30 years. He was a Melrose resident, a member of the Church of the Incarnation of Melrose and the North Shore Irish Association. He enjoyed his family, being a "Papa" golfing, tennis, BC Football and St. Pete's Beach in Florida. John was the devoted husband of Ronda G. (Young) Moulds, with whom they shared 45 years of marriage. He was the loving father of Sean J. M. Fallon of Melrose & Kelly A. Murray & her husband Paul of Winchester. Cherished "Papa" of Madisyn & Maximus Murray. Caring brother of Nancy Wilson & her husband Richard of Scituate & Ruth "Chickie" Hardin & her husband William also of Scituate. Brother-in-law of Richard Young & his wife Carol of Hampstead, NH. Also survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces & nephews. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St. Melrose on Saturday, November 13th at 9AM. Funeral Mass will be celebrated in the Incarnation Church 425 Upham St., Melrose at 10AM. Family & friends respectfully invited.
