John M. Pavone passed away at the Cohen Florence Levine Estates in Chelsea on Friday, June 11, 2010. He was 84 years of age. John was born in Everett on January 6, 1926 to the late Donato & Carmella (Orsini) Pavone. He was raised in Everett, graduated from Everett High School and was a lifelong resident. He worked as a an embalmer at Crosby Funeral Home in Boston before becoming baggage handler at Logan International Airport for American Airlines for 25 years. After he retired he enjoyed traveling, baking cookies and he loved hanging out at Revere Beach. He worked part time at Johnnies Foodmaster as a bagger for 10 years in Revere. Son of the late Donato & Carmella (Orsini) Pavone. Brother of Josephine Clifford and her late husband Francis of Melrose, the late Joseph Pavone & his wife Grace of Melrose, the late Dominic Pavone & late Anna Zitchetella. Also survived by several nieces & nephews. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St. Melrose, on Monday, June 14th at 9AM. Funeral Mass in John's memory at Incarnation Church, 425 Upham St. Melrose at 10AM. Relatives & friends invited. Visiting hours Sunday from 4:00 to 7:00PM.
