John F. Reynolds passed away in Inverness Florida on October 9th at the age of 87. He was born in Everett, raised in Melrose and graduated from Melrose High School, Class of 1935. John lived most of his life in Melrose, Cape Cod for 3 years and in Florida the past 9 years. Mr. Reynolds worked at MIT during WWII, was involved with radar development and then worked as a sales manager for Malden Motor Parts for over 30 years. He was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Church and volunteered at Citrus Memorial Hospital in Florida. He was the husband of the late Margaret E. (Leary) Reynolds. Father of Dr. John F. Reynolds of VA, Peter J. Reynolds of Malden, Margaret A. Gebhard & her husband Leonard of Melrose, Emily R. Antonen & her husband William of Inverness FL. and the late Kathleen E. Reynolds. Brother of Joseph Reynolds & his wife Frances of Malden. Also survived by 11 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. A funeral mass will be held at St. Marys Church, Herbert St. Melrose, on Friday October 22nd at 9AM. Relatives and friends invited. There are no visiting hours. Burial in Wyoming Cemetery Melrose.
