John G. Richardson passed away at Melrose-Wakefield Hospital on December 13, 2013. He was 89 years of age. John was born in Methuen, raised in Melrose, attended Melrose schools and has been a lifelong resident. Mr. Richardson worked as a sheet metal fabricator for the Churchill Corporation on Franklin St. in Melrose for over 25 years and the for the Nevlen Company in Wakefield for a few years. John was a dedicated family man who enjoyed camping. He was the beloved husband of the late Jeanne F. MacKay) Richardson. Loving father of John R. Richardson of Malden, the late Gail Starr, C. Allen Richardson of Braintree, Gary D. Richardson of Melrose, Jill A. Donahue, Judy L Richardson both of Melrose, Lynn A. Freethy of Saugus, Dawn E. Donahue of NH and Glen A. Richardson of Malden. Brother of Reina Peterson of NH and the late Robert Drewett. Also survived by 16 grandchildren & 21 great grandchildren. Visitation will be held at the Gately Funeral Home on Wednesday December 18 from 4:00-8:00PM. A funeral service will be held at the Malden 1st Church of Nazarene on Thursday December 19th at 10:30AM. Relatives & friends are respectfully invited to attend. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Fund, P.O.
