John J. Sybicki Jr. of Melrose, formerly of Chelsea, died at the Melrose Wakefield Hospital on Sunday Nov. 28th at the age of 72. John was born & raised in Chelsea, was a graduate of Chelsea High School and served in the Army during the Korean War. He was a Melrose resident for over 30 years and was an Executive Officer & Director of Pension Administration for Bank of Boston for many years. John was the former husband of Edna R. (Fedorowicz) Cox of FL. Loving father of Anne Marie Sybicki of PA, John J. Sybicki III & his wife Lynda of Tewksbury, Susan Sybicki Dimino of Wakefield and Amanda Cox & her husband Kevin of Burlington. Cherished brother of Florence Guevin & her husband Roland of Malden, and the late Gene Watt, Stacia Tassinari, Sabina Zawalich and Edward Sybicki. Also survived by 8 grandchildren & several nieces & nephews. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St., Melrose on Wednesday Dec. 1st at 8AM. Funeral Mass in St. Marys Church, Herbert St., Melrose at 9AM. Relatives & friends invited. Visiting hours on Tuesday from 5-8PM. Burial in Wyoming Cemetery, Melrose.
