John F. Watkins, of Malden, former of Melrose & North Reading, died unexpectedly on March 30, 2007 at the age of 50. John was born in Chelsea and raised in Melrose. He lived in Malden & North Reading for many years and worked as a Mechanic in the construction field. Mr. Watkins had a passion for fishing, horses, music, boating, dogs and most of all his cars; there wasnt anything he couldnt fix. John lived for his family, his children & grandchildren meant the world to him and would always put a smile on his face. He was the loving father of Jennifer A. Bourque of Lowell, John F. Watkins of Townsend and Christina Jean Watkins of Haverhill. Devoted grandfather of John, Ryan, Mariah, Rhiannon and Isabelle. Caring brother of Carolyn A. Molinari of Methuen. Former husband of Cheryl A. Watkins of N. Reading. A funeral service will be held at the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St., Melrose on Thursday April 5th at 11AM. Relatives & friends invited. Visiting hours Wednesday from 4-8PM. Burial in Wyoming Cemetery, Melrose.
