Joseph Caruso, of Melrose, died at the Brigham & Womens Hospital on Jan. 8, 2008 at the age of 79. Joe was born in Revere, raised in Everett and a graduate of Everett High School. He went on to earn his degree in Civil Engineering from Franklin Technical Institute in Boston and served in the Army during the Korean War. Joe lived in Everett until 1955 and the past 52 years in Melrose. He worked as a Engineer for Chas. T. Main Engineering Firm in Boston for 39 years until his retirement in 1991. Joe was a Jazz Musician who played for the Herb Pomeroy Band in Boston for many years and a member of Mt. Hood Golf Club in Melrose. Joe was the beloved husband of Lee G. Caruso for over 52 years. Loving father of Wade J. Caruso & his wife Tina S. of Dunstable, Andrea L. Norton of Westford and Joseph Caruso Jr. of Malden. Cherished grandfather of Alex, Tim, Matt, Mariah, Jillian and Caroline. Devoted brother of Lucille Kulakowski & her husband Walter of Andover, Kay Hogan & her husband Warren of CA, Jack Caruso & his wife Marianne, Anna Scopa & her husband Bill, all of Andover, Salvatore Caruso & his wife Virginia of Dennis, MA and the late Anthony Caruso & his wife Lou of FL.
