Joseph J. Joe Cerulle of Melrose, passed away on Tuesday, February 13, 2007 at Brigham & Women's Hospital of Boston. He was 77 years old. Born on June 4, 1929 to the late Vincent & Fannie (Vecchione) Cerulle in Ozone Park, NY, he was raised in East Douglas, MA & graduated from East Douglas High School. He had been a resident of Melrose since 1960. Mr. Cerulle worked as a plasterer & was owner of J & V Plastering. He later worked at The Melrose-Wakefield Hospital as supervisor of housekeeping for all the hospital rooms. Joe shared 56 years of marriage with Frances (DiNatale) Cerulle. He loved his wife, his five children & his 4 grandchildren. He enjoyed computer solitaire, crossword puzzles, driving his car, traveling, reading, working in his yard as a landscaper, gardener, painter, carpenter, & handy man. He was also a real estate broker for a short period of time & a former member of the Melrose Elks. He was the loving husband of Frances (DiNatale) Cerulle. Father of Linda M. Mancini & her late husband Stephen M. of NH, Jo-Ann Libby & her late husband Dyer of Melrose, Victoria Cerulle & her husband William E. Ryan, Esq. of Malden, Vincent J. Cerulle & his wife Patricia of Hopkinton and Anthony J. Cerulle & his wife Karla of Wakefield. Grandfather of Maxwell V. & Isabella B. Cerulle and Joseph P. & James A. Cerulle. Brother of Robert Cerulle & his wife Barbara of FL and Joan Simoneau of Marlboro. Also survived by many nieces & nephews. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St. Melrose, on Feb.16th at 10:30AM. Funeral Mass in St. Marys Church, Herbert St. Melrose at 11:30AM. Relatives & friends invited. Visiting hours Thurs. 3-7PM.
