Joseph A. Mitchell, Jr. of Lawrence, formerly of Melrose, died on Sunday, January 6, 2013 in Lawrence. He was 54 yrs old. Born on August 29, 1958 in Malden, he was one of four children to Frances M. (Wood) Mitchell of Melrose & Merrimack, NH & the late Joseph A. Mitchell. Joseph was raised in Everett, Melrose, San Diego, Illinois & North Andover. He was a 1976 graduate of North Andover High School and worked at My Brother's Place Pizza Shop for many years and he was a resident of Lawrence for the last 25 years. Joseph was the loving brother of Nancy I. Mitchell of West Newton & Ellen M. Ringle & her husband John of Merrimack, NH & a predeceased infant brother. Caring Uncle of Evan J. Ringle & Molly K. Ringle. Also survived by many Aunts, Uncles & Cousins. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St., Melrose Thursday, January 10th at 10AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in St. Mary's Church, Herbert St., Melrose at 11AM. Relatives & friends respectfully invited. Visiting hours Wednesday from 4-8PM. Interment is private.
