Joseph P. Martin, of Melrose, died on June 1, 2014 at the age of 73. Joe was born & raised in Melrose and a graduate of Melrose High School, Class of 1960. He worked as an Insurance Agent for McLaughlin Insurance in Melrose for many years and also as a Bartender for King's Rowe in Boston & the Melrose Elks Club for many years. Joe was a lifelong Melrose resident and the devoted son of the late Earl Sr. & Helen (Quinn) Martin. Caring brother of Constance McLaughlin & her husband John, Florence Martin, all of Melrose, Francis Quinn of VT and the late Earl Jr. & John Martin. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and grandnieces & grandnephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in St. Mary's Church, Herbert St., Melrose on Wednesday, June 4th at 10AM. Relatives & friends respectfully invited to attend. There are no visiting hours. Burial in Puritan Lawn Cemetery, Peabody.
