Joseph E. Ryan passed away at Winchester Hospital, on June 26th, he was 77. Joseph was born and raised in Jamaica Plain and attended school in Jamaica Plain. He lived in Dedham for a few years, Malden for over 20 years and the past 16 years in Melrose. He worked as a supervisor for the Environmental Division at Middlesex County Hospital for 10 years and had previously worked at a battery manufacturer in Medford. Joseph was an avid Red Sox Fan and a member of AA. He was the husband of Lillian F. (Lancaster) Ryan. Brother of Theresa Boggio & her husband Walter of Roslindale. Uncle of Gail Shaloub, Dr. Lisa Boggio, James & Gerard Boggio. A funeral service will be held at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St. Melrose, on Wed. June 29th at 11AM.
