Joseph John Sullivan of Lynn, passed away on Thursday, September 28th, 2006 at the North Shore Medical Center, Union Hospital of Lynn at the age of 85. Born in Boston to the late Joseph J. & Mary A. (Callanan) Sullivan, Joe served in the Navy as a shipfitter second class during WWII. After the war, he owned & operated the Sullivan Dye Company on Monroe St. of Lynn from 1944 to 1990, where he made dye for shoes. Mr. Sullivan also enjoyed horse racing at Suffolk Downs. He was the dear friend of Elizabeth Liz Sullivan & her husband Tom of Marblehead, Louie Ciccone & Jessica Clark, both of Lynn, & Leroy Twombley of Manchester, MA. Caring friend of Brianna & Devin Sullivan, the Mavros & Bartholomew families. Joe always remembered the childrens birthdays especially Emma Bartholomews because they were born on the same day. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Wed. Oct. 11th at 9 AM in St. Marys Church 8 S. Common St. Lynn. Friends are respectfully invited. There are no visiting hours.
