Josephine (Jerry) Davis, 93, passed away peacefully on October 4th, 2023 surrounded by her loving family. Born on May 31st 1930 to Dominic and Edith Amicangioli in Malden, Ma.

She is survived by sister Margaret (Amicangioli) Labedz. She was preceded in death by husband of 71 years Gerard Michael Davis, mother Edith, father Dominic, siblings Mary, Ann, Estelle, and Roy. Loving mother of Diane (Roy) Gohringer, Melinda (Paul) Beggan, Stephanie (Francis "Franny") Tuscano, Laure (Carlo) Parisi and Mark (Robyn) Davis. Cherished grandmother of Stephanie Peeler, Mark Bond, Cassalyn Gohringer, Lindsey Beggan (David Eick), Christine Beggan, Colleen Beggan, Michelle Beggan, Gabrielle Tuscano, Ryan (Nathalie) Coburn, Samantha Coburn (Greg Burns), Christopher Davis, Nicholas Davis and Carly Davis. Great grandmother of Jazlyn and Landon Peeler, Hadley and Hendrix Bond & George and Estelle Coburn-Lacarriére. Also survived by relatives & friends.

She enjoyed being a stay-at-home mom until 1977, when she returned to the workforce at First National Bank of Boston, as an Executive Secretary in the International Department. She enjoyed her work for 17 years, until she retired in 1994. Her true passion was her family she shared with her husband Jerry of 71 years. There was nothing that could bring more of a smile to her face than her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She enjoyed spending winters in West Palm Beach Fl., for the past 30 plus years, bowling, dancing, and the many activities she enjoyed at the senior center.

Visiting hours will be held at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St., Melrose on Saturday, October 7, 2023, from 8:30AM-10:30AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at the Church of the Incarnation, 429 Upham St., Melrose at 11:00AM. Relatives & friends respectfully invited to attend. Interment in Puritan Lawn Cemetery, Peabody. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Jerry's memory to the Lymphoma and Leukemia Society.
