Obituary

Josephine (Carpinielli) Fasano passed away at the Epoch Senior Care Center in Melrose, on December 4, 2006. She was 98 years of age. Mrs. Fasano was born in Italy and moved to the United States at the age of 5. She lived in East Boston for 60 years and then Melrose & Medford for over 30 years. Josephine was a homemaker; she had worked as a candy maker for Necco Candy in Cambridge for several years and as a stitcher in East Boston for a few years. She loved cooking, being with her family and word puzzles. Jospehine was the wife of the late Michael Fasano. Mother of Gennaro Fasano & his late wife Helen of Melrose, Mary Gulino & her late husband Salvatore of Melrose and Dora LoConte of Medford. Grandmother of Michael & Anthony LoConte, Doreen (LoConte) Porcella, Lynne (Gulino) Thomas, Joseph & Gene Gulino and the late Joseph LoConte. Also survived by 9 great grandchildren. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St. Melrose, on Thursday Dec. 7th at 10:30AM. Funeral Mass in The Most Blessed Sacrament Church, 1155 Main St. Wakefield at 11AM. Relatives & friends invited. Visiting hours Thurs. morning from 9:30-10:30AM. Burial in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden. In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.
