Josephine M. Sullivan, of Melrose, died on Tuesday, April 27, 2010 at the Melrose Wakefield Hospital. She was 80 years old. Born in Malden on March 28, 1930, she was the devoted daughter of the late Peter & Elizabeth (Dennehy) Sullivan. She was raised in Malden and a 1948 graduate of Cheurus High School of Malden. Ms. Sullivan worked as a bookkeeper with Blox Chemical Company of Woburn for 10 years and then part time with the VFW Sgt. Norman Prince of Melrose. She was a resident of Melrose for 47 years, a member of St. Mary's Church of Melrose and enjoyed knitting, crocheting and making dresses. She was the loving sister of Mary E. Sullivan of Melrose & Peter A. Sullivan & his wife Carolyn of Wakefield. Caring Aunt of Kevin G. Sullivan & his wife Bridget of Wakefield, Kerry A. Angelo & her husband Mark of Virginia & Kelly M. Girotti & her husband William, also of Wakefield. Special Great Aunt of Cameron, Timothy, Brooks & Erin. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St., Melrose on Mon. May 3rd at 9AM. Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Mary's Church, Herbert St. Melrose at 10AM. Family & friends respectfully invited. Visiting hours Sun. 4-7PM. Interment will be in Ireland.
