Obituary

Judith A. Hallinan passed away at her home in Melrose on Nov. 25, 2006, she was 48. Judith was born and raised in Melrose, graduated from Melrose High School, Class of 1976 and took culinary arts at Bunker Hill Community College. She worked as a dietary assistant at Malden Hospital for a few years. Miss Hallinan has been a lifelong resident of Melrose, was a longtime member of St. Marys Church and was a choir member for many years. She volunteered at the Cefalo Memorial Home as an Eucharistic Minister, she did the monthly newsletter and helped organized activities there. Judith was one of the original residents at the Cefalo Memorial Home when it opened. She loved sports and was an avid Red Sox fan. Judith was the daughter of the late John W. & Regina (Rykaczewski) Hallinan. Sister of Carolyn M. Parsons & her husband Kenneth of Amesbury, John W. Hallinan Jr. & his wife Pamela of Melrose & James W. Hallinan & his wife Mary of FL. Close friend & devoted companion of Nicholas Tenaglia of Medford. Aunt of Lea & Jody Parsons and Jaclyn & Michael Hallinan. Also survived by several aunts, uncles, a grand niece & nephew. A funeral service will be held at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St. Melrose, on Friday, Dec. 1st at 11AM. Relatives & friends invited. Visiting hours prior to the service on Friday from 9:00-11:00AM. Burial in Wyoming Cemetery, Melrose. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, NE Chapter, 101A 1st Ave. Waltham, 02451.
