Judith A. (Desrosiers) Hughes, of Revere, died at her home on Oct.5, 2005 at the age of 58. Judy was born in Boston, raised in Revere and was a graduate of Revere High School, Class of 1966 and Burdett Business School. She worked for the City of Melrose as an Executive Secretary for the Maintenance Division and Executive Secretary to the Business Manager of the Melrose Public Schools. Judy loved cooking, reading, knitting at Sit & Knit in Melrose and her family & grandchildren always came first. She was the beloved wife of J. Michael Hughes. Loving mother of Kimberly A. Dowdie & her husband William of Wakefield, Michael B. Hughes & his wife Erin of Melrose and Sean M. Hughes & his wife Michelle of Saugus. Devoted daughter of the late Mary (Pottle) Desrosiers and Kenneth Desrosiers & his wife Vi of Melrose. Cherished grandmother of Breanne & Nathan Dowdie, Connor & Tyler and Jacob Hughes. Caring sister of Kenneth Desrosiers. Also survived by many dear friends. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St., Melrose on Saturday Oct. 8th at 8AM. Funeral Mass in St. Marys Church, Herbert St., Melrose at 9AM. Relatives & friends invited. Visiting hours on Friday from 4-8PM. Burial will be private.
