Judith E. Marshall passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, August 15, 2009; she was 59 years of age. Judy was born in Fitchburg, graduated high school in Fitchburg and has been a resident of Melrose for the past 40 years. Judy has been working in the lease purchasing business for over 30 years. She worked with municipalities, public works departments, and local fire and police chiefs through out the 6 New England States. She would help them finance new equipment purchases for their cities and towns. The past several years she had been the senior vice president at All American Investment Group located in Denver, Colorado. Mrs. Marshall had a great love for life, her family & friends and her two cats Cookie & Amber. Judy enjoyed cooking in her new kitchen, reading, trips to Disney World and times spent in Waterville Valley, NH. Mrs. Marshall was the Secretary/Treasurer of the New England Fire Equipment Exhibitors Association for the past 12 years and had close ties to the local state fire chiefs associations in Massachusetts, Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine, Connecticut & Rhode Island. Judy was the devoted wife of John J. "Jack" Marshall. Loving mother of Janet L. Marshall of Melrose. Beloved sister of Elizabeth Harding of N. Dartmouth, Robert Marjomaa of Lexington & Deborah Holohan of VA. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins & friends. A funeral service will be held at the 1st Congregational Church, 121 W. Foster St. Melrose on Friday, August 21st at 10AM. Relatives & friends invited. Visiting hours at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St. Melrose on Thursday 3-8PM. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Judy's name to the Melrose Humane Society, P.O. Box 760668, Melrose, MA 02176.
