Julia (Latessa) Stasiowski passed away at Woburn Nursing Center on December 1, 2007; she was 93 years of age. Julia was born and raised in Fall River and attended Fall River Schools. Mrs. Stasiowski was a talented seamstress, starting in the mills in Fall River and continued using her talent throughout her life. She kept working as a seamstress throughout her life from her home in Melrose, giving lessons, making clothes and tending to tailoring needs of her family and friends. Mrs. Stasiowski lived in Melrose for 52 years and the past 8 years in Woburn. Julia was a hard working person; working as a clerk for Filenes in Boston, Transitron in Melrose and as a computer data analyst for American Mutual in Wakefield. Mrs. Stasiowski loved to cook and was an avid photographer. Julia was the wife of the late William W. Stasiowski. Mother of William A. Stasiowski & his wife Anne of Winchester and Carlton S. Stasiowski & his wife Susan of Braintree. Sister of Arthur Latessa of MO & Umberto Latessa of Fall River. Grandmother of Cheri, Brian & Mark. Also survived by several great grandchildren, nieces & nephews. Funeral service will be held at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St. Melrose, on Wed. Dec. 5th, at 1:00PM. Relatives & friends invited. Visitation on Wed. from 12:00-1:00PM. Interment in Wyoming Cemetery in Melrose.
