Karen E. Voigt, of Melrose & Manchester, NH, died unexpectedly at home on Nov. 17, 2007 at the age of 61. Karen was born & raised in Melrose and a graduate of St. Marys High School, Class of 1964. She lived in Malden, Hooksett & Manchester, NH and Melrose for many years. Karen worked as an Engineer for the New England Telephone Company in both Boston & Manchester, NH for 42 years before her retirement in August 2007. She summered at Great East Lake in Wakefield, NH and loved to travel & shop all over New England to find unique antique shops. Karen enjoyed Cooking and most of all, she a great love for her Yorkshire Terriers. She was the loving daughter of Eileen M. (Muse) & the late Edwin O. Voigt of Melrose. Caring sister of Stephen E. Voigt & his wife Joanne of Kingston, NH. Cherished aunt of Sarah E. & Katie A.Voigt, both of South Boston and Kristen J. Voigt of Kingston, NH. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St., Melrose on Saturday Nov. 24, 2007 at 10AM. Funeral Mass in St. Marys Church, Herbert St., Melrose at 11AM. Relatives & friends invited. Visiting hours on Friday from 4-8PM.
