Karl V. Fritsch passed away at Kindred Hospital in Peabody on March 19th at the age of 68. Karl was born and raised in Hungary, graduated from high school & chef school in Hungary and owned a restaurant in Vienna, Austria for several years. He came to the United States in the 1970's and lived in Waltham for 25 years. Karl was owner/chef of the Blue-Danub Restaurant in Waltham for 10 years and the worked as a chef for the Harvard Club in Boston for over 20 years. Beloved husband of Dorothea (Budanovits) Fritsch. Devoted father of Katalin & Gyorgy Buda of Vienna Austria. Loving brother of Lajos Fritsch & Otto Fritsch of Budapest, Hungary. Dear cousin of Dr. Geza & Maria Jako of Melrose and Thomas Pitrolffy of Lowell. Funeral service will be held at the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St. Melrose, on Sat. March 27th at 2PM.
