Kathleen M. (Kenefick) Crowley of Melrose, passed away Friday, March 31st, 2006 at the Wingate @ Reading Nursing Home. She was 86 years old. Born in Everett to the late Thomas M. & Elizabeth M. (Sheehan) Kenefick, she was raised in West Medford, graduating from Medford High School class of 1938. Kay worked for the Assistant Superintendent of Schools for the City of Medford from 1966 until her retirement in 1990. She moved to Melrose in 1969, was a resident of Melrose for over 35 years & a member of St. Marys Church of Melrose. Mrs. Crowley enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, traveling, playing tennis and golf. She was the beloved wife of the late Arthur B. Crowley. Loving mother of Janice M. Crowley of Wilmington. Devoted sister of Elizabeth Plant, Gertrude Edgeworth & Margaret T. Kenefick all of Melrose & brother Robert Kenefick of Stoneham. Also survived by many loving nieces & nephews. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St., Melrose on Tues. April 4th at 10AM.
