Obituary

Kathleen A. (Devlin) Gunnery passed away at her daughters home in Billerica, on September 8, 2007. She was 79 years of age. Kathleen was raised in Melrose & Winchester and graduated from Winchester High School, Class of 1946. Mrs. Gunnery has been a resident of Melrose for the past 58 years. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who enjoyed being with her family. Kathleen has been a longtime member of St. Marys Church in Melrose. Mrs. Gunnery was the wife of Austin J. Aut Gunnery (retired Sgt. Melrose Police Dept.). Mother of Sharon A. OConnor & her husband James of Billerica, Stephen P. Gunnery & his wife Judith of MD, Daniel J. Gunnery & his wife Kathleen and Thomas M. Gunnery & his wife Lillian all of NH. Sister of Rita ONeil of Winchester and the late Daniel Devlin & his surviving wife Jeanne of Stoneham. Grandmother of Greg, Colleen, Kate, Mark, Sarah, Caroline, Craig & Bryan. Great grandmother of Bryan, Maeve, Kyle & Jake. Great grandmother of Bryan, Maeve, Kyle & Jake. Also survived by several nieces & nephews. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St. Melrose, on Wed. Sept. 12th, at 10:30AM. Funeral Mass in St. Marys Church, Herbert St. Melrose, at 11AM. Relatives & friends invited. Visiting hours will be held on Wed. morning from 9:00-10:30AM. Interment in Wyoming Cemetery in Melrose. Memorial contributions may be made to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Fund, P.O. Box 650309, Dallas, TX 75265.
