Obituary

Katheen Elizabeth (Gordon) Healey, of Melrose and Naples FL, passed away peacefully on January 26th due to complications from Alzheimer’s. Kathleen was surrounded by her loving family when she was called home to be with her savior and join her mother and father.

Kathleen was the proud daughter of the late Donald "Buddy" Gordon and the late Rose Loretta (Sullivan) Gordon of Malden. Kathleen is survived by her devoted husband and best friend, Charles Healey, their son Brian Healey and his wife Kelly of Reading, MA, and their youngest son Stephen, of Naples, FL. Kathleen is also survived by her brother Stephen Gordon and his wife Marianne of Malden, her sister Mary T. Hagan of Salem, NH, and her two favorite people in the world, her grandchildren, Hannah and Shea Healey. Kathleen is also survived by many nieces, nephews, family members and cherished friends

Kathleen was born and raised in Malden and carried her hometown roots throughout her life. She was a warm and generous person who spent many years working as a school secretary in the Malden School Department. She adored being around the children and would brighten the office with her smile and kindness, and bringing far too many treats to the office than her job description required. She was living proof that it wasn’t just a job; she thought of it as a privilege to be around so many wonderful people.

Later in life Kathleen found a passion for golf and spent time playing at the Bellevue Golf Club in Melrose and Glen Eagle Country Club in Naples Fl. Although she liked playing golf, her real love was just being outside on a sunny day watching her boys compete in sports or just sitting on a warm beach, York Beach Me. her preference, talking to friends or just simply reading a book.

Kathleen will be remembered for her gentle heart, her unwavering love for her family, and the joy she bought for everyone who was fortunate to know her. She was one of a kind and will be dearly missed by many.

Rest Easy Kathleen and till we meet again.
