Kathleen A. (Flynn) Martin, of Stoneham, formerly of Melrose, died peacefully on August 3, 2017 at the age of 92. Kathleen was born in Melrose on April 28, 1925 to Nicholas & Katherine (Healey) Flynn. She was raised in Melrose and graduated from St. Mary's Grammar & High Schools. Kathleen married her late husband, Earl Martin, and moved to Stoneham where they raised their daughter. Kathleen & Earl later retired to Cape Cod. Kathleen was a very talented seamstress and enjoyed knitting, sewing, and crocheting. She also loved to travel, making trips to Ireland, Hawaii, and California. Kathleen was the beloved wife of the late Earl Martin. Loving mother of Paula Meisner & her husband John of San Diego, CA. Grandmother of Jeffrey, David, Bryan, Kevin, and Andrew. Great-grandmother of Tristan, Macy, McKinley, Nathan, Cameron, and Weston. She was a loving sister and sister-in-law, and is also survived by many nieces & nephews. Visitation will be held at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St., on Wed., Aug. 9, 2017 from 9:00-10:00 AM. A Funeral Mass will be held following the visitation at St. Mary's Church, 9 Herbert St., Melrose, at 10:30 AM. Interment at Wyoming Cemetery, Melrose.
