Kathleen R. (DiNatale) Murphy of Melrose and Wakefield passed away at her daughter's home in Wakefield on Saturday, April 19, 2008. She was 94 years old. Born on August 26, 1913 in South Boston to the late John & Mary (Fopiano) DiNatale, she was raised in South Boston and graduated from South Boston High School in 1931. She then graduated from the Burdette School of Business of Boston. Mrs. Murphy worked as a secretary in the nursing department of the Massachusetts General Hospital of Boston for 17 years. She lived in Melrose for 60 years and Wakefield for 16 years. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, praying, going to St. Joseph's Church in Wakefield, eating out, movies and collecting Hummels but her biggest joy was being with her family. She was the devoted wife of the late Paul R. Murphy, Sr. and they shared 38 years of marriage. She was the loving mother of Paul R. Murphy, Jr. & his late wife Deborah of Melrose, Suzanne M. Gray & her husband Michael of Halifax, Barbara A. Aiello & her husband Vincent of Wakefield, Kevin J. Murphy & his wife Rosemary of Lawrence & Brian J. Murphy & his wife Rita of Melrose. Cherished grandmother of 10 & great grandmother of 13. Caring sister of the late Evelyn Kensta & Bernadette Houvouras. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St., Melrose on Thurs.
