Kenneth R. Crowell, of Melrose, died at the Melrose Wakefield Hospital on November 15, 2011 at the age of 88. Ken was born & raised in Melrose and a lifelong resident. He was a member of St. Mary's Church in Melrose, where he & Phyllis were married many years ago. Ken was a graduate of Melrose High School and went on to be a machinist in Georgetown, Massachusetts for over 25 years. He was an avid golfer at Mt. Hood Golf Course in Melrose and he also thoroughly enjoyed traveling to Florida and New Hampshire. Ken was the beloved husband of Phyllis M. (Hallahan) Crowell. Brother of Ruth Crowell of Cape Cod and the late Donald Crowell and June McPherson. Uncle of Thomas Hallahan Jr. of North Reading, Wendy Wahl of North Kingston, RI and Thomas McPherson of Marston Mills. A Funeral Service will be held for Ken at the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St., Melrose on Wednesday, November 23rd at 11 AM. Relatives & friends are invited to attend. There are no visiting hours. Burial in Wyoming Cemetery, Melrose.
