Kenneth R. Hatfield Jr., of Melrose, died at the Mass. General Hospital in Boston on Sept. 10, 2010 at 61 years of age. Kenny was born & raised in Medford and a graduate of Melrose High School, Class of 1968. He resided in Melrose for most of his life and worked as an Office Manager for Rite-Way Cleaners in Cambridge for many years. Kenny was a member of the Melrose Elks for several years. He was the loving son of Betty (Travis) & the late Kenneth Hatfield of Melrose. Caring brother of Cynthia Burke of Saugus, Anne Watson & her husband Dean of NH, Dennis Hatfield & his wife Beth, Mark Hatfield & his wife Nelly , all of Melrose, Mary Connors & her husband Chris and Dorothy Hatfield, all of NH. Also survived by many nieces & nephews. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St., Melrose on Wednesday Sept. 15th at 8AM. Funeral Mass in St. Mary's Church, Herbert St., Melrose at 9AM. Relatives & friends respectfully invited. Visiting hours on Tuesday from 6-8PM. Burial will be private.
