Kenneth E. Malenchini passed away at his home in New Hampshire on Sunday July 21, 2013. He was 85 years of age. Mr. Malenchini was born in Melrose to the late Aristide & Mary (Robinson) Malenchini, was raised and educated in Melrose and lived in Melrose most of his life. Ken entered the U.S. Navy and served his country with pride during WWII. After his discharge from the Armed Forces he worked at Sears & Roebuck for a few years, for the City of Melrose public works department in the sewer division before becoming the superintendant of Wyoming Cemetery. Mr. Malenchini then went on to work at the Wang Company with the computer supply team for 10 years. Ken loved spending time with his family, enjoyed fishing and hunting and enjoyed the trips he took to Switzerland and Rome. He has been a resident of Hooksett, NH for the past 10 years. Mr. Malenchini was the beloved husband of Lucille T. (Carpenter) Malenchini. Loving father of Kenneth E. Malenchini Jr. of NH, Donna Philbrook & her husband Wayne of Wakefield, Patricia Czernetzky of Billerica and Peter Malenchini & his wife Margaret of Melrose. Cherished grandfather of Brian, Michael, Anthony, Alissa, Jennifer, Lindsey, Stacey and Robin. Also survived by 5 great grandchildren, 4 sisters and several nieces & nephews. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St. Melrose, on Thursday, July 25th at 9AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary's Church, Herbert St. Melrose at 10AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Wednesday from 4:00-8:00PM. Burial will be private. WWII Navy Veteran.
