Kenneth C. Mulrenan passed away at Genesis @ Wakefield Nursing Center on Tuesday, January 6, 2015. He was 79 years of age. Ken was raised in Melrose, graduated from Malden Catholic High School, where he was a very talented hockey player. He attended Boston College, was a lifelong resident of Melrose before moving to Wakefield 10 years ago. Mr. Mulrenan worked for the City of Melrose in the DPW department for over 20 years. Ken loved the beach, working out at the Melrose YMCA and loved to go out to eat. He was the beloved son of the late Dominic & Gertrude (Hallahan) Mulrenan. Devoted brother of Ruth McCoy & her husband Paul of Plum Island and the late Rev. Donald Mulrenan , the late Robert Mulrenan, the late Edward Mulrenan & the late Rev. Richard Mulrenan Also survived by several nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews and friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary's Church, Herbert St. Melrose, Saturday January 10th at 10:00AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Burial to follow at Wyoming Cemetery in Melrose.
