Kevin W. Burke passed away in Franklin, MA after a courageous battle with cancer, on October 2, 2009, at the age of 50. Kevin was born in Concord, raised in Melrose, graduated from Melrose High School, Class of 1977 and from Bunker Hill Community College. He lived in Melrose for many years and Boston for over 10 years. Mr. Burke worked at Logan Airport for United Airlines and Marriott for many years. He enjoyed traveling and going to the beach. Kevin's spirit was defined by kindness, love & compassion. It is why all of us loved you so much. Mr. Burke is survived by his parents, Robert J. & Agnes J. (Perrault) Burke of Melrose. Brother of Michael Burke of FL, Mary-Lou DePalma of Mashpee, Cynthia MacDonald of Franklin, Daniel Burke of Malden, Timothy & Robert Burke both of Melrose and the late Hector & Thomas Burke. Partner & best friend of Robert Comazzi of Boston. Also survived by several nieces & nephews. A Funeral service will be held at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St. Melrose, on Saturday, Oct. 10th at 11AM. Relatives & friends invited. Interment in Wyoming Cemetery in Melrose.
