Kevin B. Martin, of Revere, formerly of Melrose, died on December 21, 2015 at the age of 61. Kevin was born in Charlestown on May 22, 1954 to John & Constance (Dillon) Martin. He enlisted in the United States Army in 1971 and remained with the Army for fourteen years. He also worked as a carpenter. He had a great sense of humor, always laughing and telling stories. He was an avid Boston Sports fan as well. Kevin also enjoyed spending time at the family vacation spot at Old Orchard Beach in Maine. Kevin loved his daughter Kerin, with all of his heart. She was his entire world; his biggest joy was watching her play sports. He never missed a game. Kevin will be missed by all of knew him. He was the loving father of Kerin Martin of Revere, Shauna Connors & her husband Gerard of Charlestown, Kelley Whalen of Everett, and Allison Sargent of Boston. He was the former companion and close friend of over twenty years to Kathleen Whalen of Revere. Proud grandfather of Lauren, Lindsay, Giovanna, Alexandria, and Ryan. Visiting Hours will be held on Thursday, January 14, 2016 at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St., Melrose from 9-11 AM. A Funeral Procession will continue to Holy Cross Cemetery in Malden for Committal Prayers immediately following the visitation. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
