Larry A. Graffeo of Venice FL and Saugus MA died Feb. 20th at his home in FL after a long illness. He was 70 years old. Mr. Graffeo was the proud founder of Fishermans Fleet Seafood's Inc. since 1979. Larry with his family and close associates built a retail seafood market in Wayland MA into a well known successful wholesale and amil order Seafood Company and retired in 1990. Before starting his company Larry worked fro the House of Rothmond in Somerville MA as a sales manager. Mr.. Graffeo was born in Boston's North End and raised his family with his former wife Rosalie (Ferullo) Graffeo in Melrose for several years. Larry had a great love of the sea and lived on Florida's West Coast and spent most of his spare time on his pleasure boat through out his whole life. Larry served in the US Airforce during the Korean War. Companion to Marjorie Mattuchio of Saugus. Devoted father of Michael J Graffeo & his wife April of Lynnfield, Andrew M. Graffeo & his wife Laralee of Boxford, and Marylee Graffeo of Bronx, NY. Grandfather of Andrew Larry Graffeo of Boxford. Brother of Jeanette Scola of Stoneham, Frances Vanni of Medford and the late Paul Graffeo, Mary Guardino, and Angelo Graffeo. Also survived by his former wife Rosalie ( Ferrullo ) Graffeo of Melrose and several nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W Foster St Melrose on Mon Feb 25 at 9 AM. Funeral Mass in The Church of the Incarnation, 429 Upham St, Melrose, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours Sunday 4 - 8pm. Committal service will be held in the Holy Cross Mausoleum, Malden. Koren War Air Force Veteran.
