Laura A. McIntyre-Fields passed away after a lengthy illness at her home in Revere on June 24, 2011. She was 40 years of age. Laura was born in Melrose on March 31, 1971 to Thomas J. & Ellen M. (Horan) McIntyre. She was raised in Melrose and graduated from Melrose High School, Class of 1989. She received a nursing degree from Providence College, lived most of her life in Melrose and the past 5 years in Revere. Mrs. McIntyre-Fields worked as a nurse at Melrose-Wakefield Hospital, Elmhurst Nursing Home in Melrose for several years, Malden Hospital and doing home care. The last few years she worked as a dialysis nurse at NCI in Somerville. Laura was a dedicated mom, was very religious and enjoyed working with the elderly. She was the beloved wife of Sean M. Fields. Loving mother of Michael Thomas & Ellen Mary Fields. Devoted daughter of Thomas J. McIntyre of Melrose & the late Ellen (Horan) McIntyre. Loving sister of John T. McIntyre & his wife Tara of SC, Brian P. McIntyre of Boston, Kevin A. McIntyre & his wife Barbara of ME & Thomas J. McIntyre of Melrose. Also survived by several nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St. Melrose, on Friday July 1st at 8AM. A Funeral Mass to celebrate Laura's life at St. Mary's Church, Herbert St. Melrose, at 9AM. Relatives & friends invited. Visiting hours Thursday from 4-8PM. Interment in Wyoming Cemetery in Melrose.
