Crowley, Lawrence J., Jr, of Melrose died peacefully on September 27, 2024. Born in Medford, MA on October 2, 1946, he was the son of Lawrence J. Crowley and Ann F. Crowley (Twomey), both deceased. Larry is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 46 years, Kathleen M. Crowley (Murphy) and was the proud father of Christopher L. and Daniel J. Crowley, all of Melrose. He was the adoring Grandfather of Quinn R. and Gemma M. Crowley. Larry also leaves behind Kathleen's sisters Maureen Lewis (the late Walter Lewis) of Gilford, NH, Maggie Murphy of Boston, MA, Mary "Mimi" Murphy of Medford, MA, Kathleen's brother Daniel Murphy (Dr. Maureen McGovern) of Biddeford, ME, and his nephews, Patrick Lewis (Andrew Salesi) of Ft. Lauderdale, FL and Michael Lewis of Gilford, NH.

Raised in Somerville, MA, Larry was a graduate of Matignon High School, Boston College and Boston College Law School. He practiced law in Boston at Riemer & Braunstein LLP for 35+ years where he was graciously accommodated and cared for deeply by the firm. Larry was a fixture at baseball fields and hockey rinks throughout Greater Boston for many years where he beamed with pride watching his sons with his wife. He had a deep passion for sports, music, reading and especially his family.

Visiting hours will be held at Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St., Melrose, MA 02176 on Wednesday, October 2, 2024 from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM. A Prayer Service will begin in the funeral home at 12:00 PM. Interment will be private. Family & Friends respectfully invited to attend.
