Lawrence Ruvido died suddenly at home Nov. 22nd at the age of 81. Lawrence was born in Boston, raised in the North End of Boston, lived in Malden for many years, Melrose a few years and Waklefield the past 30yrs. Lawrence worked as a meat cutter for Maplewood Meat Market in Malden for many years as well as Public's Market, Mal's and Purity Supreme Supermarkets. He was a WWII Army veteran. He was the husband of Phyllis (Hessel) Ruvido. Father of Lawrence J. Ruvido of Middleton, Richard J. Ruvido of FL and Linda Demarco of Peabody. Brother of John Ruvido of Medford, Joseph Ruvido of Braintree, Rosemarie Barone of E.Boston and the late Andrew, Anthony, Gregory Ruvido, Angelina Paccioco, Virginia Coviello & Grace Ruvido. Also survived by 6 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held at Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St. Melrose on Monday Nov. 26th at 10AM. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours Sunday 2-8PM. Burial in Forest Glade Cemetery Wakefield.
