Leland P. "Lee" Ringen passed away at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers, on April 11, 2011. He was 51 years of age. Leland was born in Mont Clair, NJ on May 20, 1959, he was raised in Mont Clair until the age of twelve. He lived in Colorado and California for many years before moving to Boston. While living in Boston he lived in Milton & Brookline for a few years and in Malden the past 12 years. Mr. Ringen worked in the children's' book division at the Harvard Coop in Cambridge for twelve years and then as an onsite service manager at the Teradyne & Charette Companies for several years. Lee was a loving and dedicated father who loved spending time with his family. In his earlier years he was a troop leader for Boy Scouts of America, enjoyed camping and science fiction books and movies. He was the loving husband of Cheryl Ann (Sarno) Ringen. Beloved father of twin girls; Anastasia E. & Lillian G. Ringen. Devoted son of Shirley (MacDonald) Ringen of CA & the late Walter E. Ringen II. Cherished brother of Walter E. Ringen III of IN, Alan R. Ringen & Constance M. Bondi both of CA. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A Funeral Service will be held at the Melrose Unitarian Universalist Church, 70 W. Emerson St. Melrose, on Saturday, April 16th at 10AM. Relatives & friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St. Melrose, on Friday from 4:00-8:00PM. Interment in Puritan Lawn Cemetery in Peabody.
