Lillian ( Blumstein ) Groden, 92, died at home Sunday, Feb 2nd, after a lengthy illness. Born in Newark, N.J., she had lived in New York City for most of her life until moving to Melrose in 1995. Lillian and her husband, Sam, owned and operated Sam Groden Inc. in New York City, an advertising company, for 30 years. Everyone who knew her was struck by her combination of generousity, intelligence and grace. Mother of Suzy Groden of Melrose and Joseph Groden of Boston. Grandmother of Anna Cruz Crowell of Los Angeles, CA. and Sabrina Groden of Arlington, MA. Great grandmother of Samantha Miles of Arlington. A Gathering in her memory will be held at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W Foster St, Melrose, on Sunday Feb 9th from 2 PM until 4 PM. Relatives and friends invited. Visitation: None None
