Linda "Lena" (Spadafora) DiNardi, of Melrose, died at her home on Oct. 11, 2009 at the age of 96. Lena was born & raised in Melrose and attended Melrose Schools. She was a homemaker whose passion was cooking, entertaining and taking care of her family & friends. Lena was the beloved wife of the late Henry DiNardi for 72 years. Loving mother of Constance D. Flanagan & her late husband Thomas of Fort Myers, Fl and George H. DiNardi & his wife Carol of Melrose. Devoted sister of Frank Spadafora, Cynthia McQueen & her husband Donald, all of Saugus and the late Dante & Joseph Spadafora, Florence Ricker and Olga Emanuel. Cherished grandmother of Linda Agnoletti & Anne Marie Flanagan, both of Lynnfield, Thomas Flanagan & his wife Lisa of North Reading, Joseph DiNardi of Hawaii, Christopher DiNardi of Melrose, Nicole Rosser of Wayland, Meghan Giangregorio of Reading and Erik Giangregorio of Everett. Caring great grandmother of Anna Bella, Braedon, Hannah & Trevor. Also survived by many nieces & nephews. A funeral service will be held at the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St., Melrose on Wednesday Oct. 14th at 11AM. Relatives & friends respectfully invited. Visiting hours on Tuesday from 4-8PM. Burial in Wyoming Cemetery, Melrose.
