Loretta H. (Muse) Mullane, of Melrose, formerly of Nashua, NH, died at the Melrose Wakefield Hospital on March 27, 2014 at the age of 88. Loretta was born in Chelsea, raised in Malden and a graduate of Malden High School, Class of 1943. She resided in Malden until 1946, lived 25 years in Nashua, NH and over 40 years in Melrose. Loretta was a homemaker and an active member of the Auxiliary at the American Legion in Nashua, NH for over 20 years. She enjoyed spending her time at home with family & friends. Loretta was the beloved wife of the late Thomas J. Mullane. Loving mother of Janice L. Zafarana & her husband James of Andover and Sheryl Mullane-Corvi of Melrose. Cherished grandmother of Thomas Mullane Corvi and Katherine E. Corvi. Caring twin sister of the late Lorraine Grigas & her late husband Joseph, the late J. Richard Muse & his late wife Audrey, the late Eileen Voigt & her late husband Edwin and the late Herbert Muse & his wife Gladys. Also survived by many nieces & nephews. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St., Melrose on Tuesday, April 1st at 9:00AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St Joseph Church, 790 Salem St. Malden at 10am.
