Loretta M. (Arsenault ) Riordan, 88, died Tuesday evening at Mass General Hospital, Boston, after a brief illness. Born and raised in New Brunswick, Canada, she came to Cambridge Mass in 1934, lived in Melrose and '' summered'' in Rockport for 50 yrs and had been a resident of Wakefield for the past 15 yrs. Loretta had been an active member of St Mary's Parish while living in Melrose and was presently a parishioner of St Florence Church in Wakefield. She was the wife of the late Walter E. Riordan. Mother of Doris Waldron and her husband Gerald of Lynn, Phyllis Priftakis and her husband Lewis of Saugus, Marion Riordan of Rockport and Michael Riordan and his wife Maureen of Beverly. Sister of Mary Dickson of Waltham, Emily Fougere and Dianne Cormier both of New Brunswick Canada. Also survived by 10 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home 79 W Foster St Melrose on Friday May 18 at 9 AM. Funeral Mass in St Florence Church, 47 Butler Ave., Wakefield at 10 AM. Relatives and friends invited.
