Lorraine A. Goodrich passed away suddenly, at Melrose-Wakefield Hospital, on Sunday, April 27. 2008. She was 67 years of age. Lorraine was the daughter of the late Arthur W. & Madeline (Jackman) Goodrich. She was raised in Melrose, graduated from Melrose High School, Class of 1959 and from Northeastern University. Lorraine worked in research & development for the Polaroid Corporation in Waltham for 25 years. Miss Goodrich was a lifelong resident of Melrose and a longtime member of St. Mary's Church. Lorraine was a talented painter; she enjoyed going to the movies, loved to go out to eat and enjoyed traveling to Long Lake in Bridgeton, Maine. She was the loving sister of Marilyn A. Colombo of Wakefield. Beloved aunt of John J. Colombo of Melrose and Paul C. Colombo of Georgetown. Also survived by several cousins. Visiting hours will be held at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St. Melrose, on Thurs. May 1st, from 5:00-7:00PM, followed by a funeral service Thursday evening at 7PM. Relatives & friends invited. Interment will be private.
