Lorraine D. (McNeil) Riley, formerly a 42 year resident of Melrose, passed away on June 12, 2022, at the age of 88. Beloved wife of James J. Riley, formerly of Melrose. Loving mother of Cheryl Riley of Gloucester, Pamela Coleman of Saugus, Doreen Rocco & her husband Gregory of Wakefield, and James Riley & his wife Stephanie of Fort Myers, FL. Proud grandmother of eight, great-grandmother of sixteen, and great-great grandmother of one. Also survived by her brother John McNeil & his wife Arlene of East Bridgewater. Visiting Hours will be held on Wednesday June 15th, from 4:00 – 7:00 PM at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St., Melrose, MA. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary's Church, 4 Herbert St., Melrose, on Thursday, June 16th at 10:00 AM. Relatives & friends are respectfully invited to attend. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Lorraine's name to the American Cancer Society at cancer.org
