Lorraine C. "Tootie"(Graffam) Stevenson, of Melrose, died at her home surrounded by her family after a lengthy illness on Sept. 14, 2009 at the age of 77. Lorraine was born in Malden & raised in Melrose and attended Melrose Schools. She worked in Food Service for the Servomation Company in Stoneham for 22 years before her retirement in 1993. Tootie loved taking trips to Prince Edward Island, Florida, Virginia and long Sunday drives with her husband. She enjoyed the beach, spending time with her close friends and playing games with her grandchildren. Lorraine was the beloved wife of the late Orland W. "Red" Stevenson. Loving mother of Glenn A. Stevenson of Melrose, Warren O. Stevenson & his wife Deborah of Townsend, Gail M. Burns & her husband Joseph of Malden and Marlene Stevenson of Melrose. Devoted sister of Dorothy Graffam of Melrose. Cherished grandmother of Warren O. Stevenson Jr., Daniel K. Stevenson, Ashley J. Stevenson and Janine G. Burns. A funeral service will be held at the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St., Melrose on Friday Sept. 18th at 10AM. Relatives & friends respectfully invited. Visiting hours on Thursday from 4-8PM. Burial in Wyoming Cemetery, Melrose.
