Louis graduated from Winthrop Senior High School in 1942. He served in the US Army Air Force from April, 1943 to February 1946 as a B-17 and B-29 aircraft and engine mechanic.

Louis attended the College of Business Administration at Boston University, receiving a BS in Business Administration degree. He was employed by Sears Roebuck and Co for a period of 13 years, whereupon he resigned to purchase and run his own business until he retired in 1979.

Louis met the love of his life, Pauline Georgian, while attending BU and they were happily married for over 68 years. Their sons, John and Gregory, were born in Keene, NH and attended grade schools in Peekskill, NY and Melrose, MA, John going on to college at Cornell University and Gregory at Bucknell University.

Pauline taught 4th Grade for 28 years, a year each in Revere, MA, Marlboro, NH and Peekskill, NY before relocating to Melrose, MA and teaching there for twenty five years before retiring in 1995.

Louis and Pauline were the proud grandparents of Gregory’s three children, Jennifer, Austin and Hunter and John’s daughter, Miranda. Lou was great-grandfather to Austin and his wife Ashely’s son Walker. They are also survived by 5 nephews and 7 nieces.

Louis and Pauline were members of the Annunciation of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church of Woburn, MA and Louis served on the Parish Council, ( being elected Treasurer of the Community and also as Chairman of the Board of Overseers. He was also a member of the Church choir for more than twenty years.)

Louis was nominated by the Parish Council to receive the Diocese Laity Award for his outstanding service to the Church of the Annunciation in Woburn, MA and at a function held on June 14, 1992 he was duly recognized by Bishop Methodios, Bishop of the Greek Orthodox Diocese of Boston.

For over 60 years Lou was a Freemason, associated with the Jerusalem Lodge #104 in Keene, New Hampshire.

Following his retirement, Louis and Pauline enjoyed several trips to Europe, especially to the homeland of their parents(Greece), Great Britain, France, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, Belgium and Holland. Their favorite, naturally, was Greece. Not to mention tours of the States, historic places coast to coast and to this day he carried his lifetime National Park pass in his wallet.

In recent years Lou, and for a time Pauline, resided at Bowman Place Assisted Living in Bedford, NH where he made new friendships and received the utmost in loving care from the staff and management.
