Louisa A. Moir,79, died unexpectedly at the Medical Center of Lewisville, Texas, after a brief illness. Born and raised in Boston, she graduated from Fitton High School, Boston, in 1940, Boston City Hospital School of Nursing, and earned her Masters Degree in Public Health at Boston College. She served in WW II as an Army Nurse in the Medical Corp. Louisa was a Nursing Instructor at Malden Hospital for many years. She had lived in Stoneham prior to becoming a Melrose resident 41 years ago. She and her husband John wintered in Venice Florida for 17 years. Louisa was an active member of St Mary's Church and an avid bridge player both in Venice Fl and Melrose. She was the wife of the late John F. Moir. Mother of John R. Moir of Melrose and Louise A. Caliro of Flower Mound, TX. Grandmother of Nichole A. Caliro, Daniel J. Moir and Nathan F. Moir. Sister of Robert A Sacco of Saugus and the late Frances E. Sarro. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home 79 W Foster St Melrose on Wednesday May 30 at 8 AM. Funeral Mass in St Mary's Church, corner of Myrtle & Herbert Sts., Melrose at 9 AM. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours Tuesday 2- 4 & 7 - 9 pm. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
