Louise M. (Santora) Amoroso, of Reading, formerly of Melrose, died at the Tufts Medical Center in Boston on April 14, 2011 at the age of 70. Louise was born & raised in East Boston and a graduate of East Boston High School, Class of 1958. She worked for American Airlines for several years and went on become the Office Manager of Dr. David Roth for over 20 years before retiring at the age of 64. Louise resided in Melrose for 23 years and the past 8 years in Reading. She was a member of St. Mary's Church in Melrose and St. Agnes in Reading for many years. Louise enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, cooking, knitting & crocheting. She was the beloved wife of the late John M. Amoroso Sr. Loving mother of John M. Amoroso Jr., of Reading, Michael J. Amoroso & his wife Heather of Billerica & Caryn M. Barretto & her husband Louis of Woburn. Cherished grandmother "Nonna" of Cayla, Cortney, Zachary & Jake. Devoted sister of Ralph Santora & his wife Laurie of NH & Arthur Santora Jr. & his wife Mary of Weymouth. Also survived by many nieces & nephews. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St., Melrose on Wednesday, April 20th at 8AM. Funeral Mass in St. Mary's Church, Herbert St., Melrose at 9AM. Relatives & friends invited. Visiting hours on Tuesday from 4-8PM. Burial in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
