Louise V. (Kelley) Fober, of Melrose, died at the Melrose Wakefield Hospital on Oct. 11, 2009 at the age of 91. Louise was born in Lynn, raised in Melrose and a graduate of Melrose High School, Class of 1936. After high school, she worked for John Hancock Insurance Company, also as a caregiver for Lollipop Lane Nursery School in Melrose for several years. Louise was a member of the Melrose Garden Club and Melrose Arts & Crafts and the First Baptist Church in Melrose for many years. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and traveled all over the world with her family. Louise was the beloved wife of the late Henry L. Fober. Loving mother of Gail F. Katz & her husband Norman of NY City and Carol L. Fober of Melrose. Cherished grandmother of Aimee Katz & her husband Steve Zipkin and Michael Katz, all of NY. Great grandmother of Hannah Zipkin & Katherine Zipkin. Caring brother of Richard C. Kelley & his wife Jacqueline of Melrose and the late William W. Kelley & his wife Margaret of Melrose. A funeral service will be held at the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St., Melrose on Friday Oct. 16th at 11AM. Relatives & friends respectfully invited. Visiting hours on Thursday from 5-7PM. Burial in Wyoming Cemetery, Melrose. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Louise's name to the charity of your choice.
