Louise C. (Leonard) Keenan passed away at Winchester Hospital, on Sunday, April 19, 2009. She was 97 years of age. Born in Boston to the late John & Catherine (Dowd) Leonard, she was raised in Somerville, was a member of the first graduating class of St. Clement's High School and graduated from Bryant & Stratton School of Business. Louise lived in Reading for 15 years and Arlington since 1966. Mrs. Keenan worked for over 40 years as the administrative assistant to the editor of the Herald Traveler. She was a longtime member of St. James Church in Arlington and a present member of St. Clement's Church in Medford. Louise enjoyed traveling, was a wonderful singer and loved ballroom dancing with her late husband. Beloved wife of the late Frank Keenan. Loving sister of William Leonard of Peabody and the late Helen Leonard, Francis Leonard & John Leonard & Thomas Leonard. Also survived by many, nieces, nephews & friends. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St. Melrose, on Wed. April 22nd at 9:45AM. Funeral Mass in St. Clement Church, 70 Warner St. Medford at 11AM.
